Code of Conduct for Members
All members of Lindisfarne Cricket Club Inc (‘LCC’) – whether playing or non-playing members – are the public face of the club and are expected to maintain a certain standard of conduct. This extends to playing in and watching matches, attending training sessions, participating at social events, attending the LCC or opposition clubrooms, using LCC facilities and equipment and using social media.
In this respect, all LCC members must adhere to the following:
Enforcement of the code
When enforcing the code of conduct the Board will act according to the severity of the particular breach. In most cases, an offending member will receive a warning from the Board. Where appropriate, the offending member may be ejected from LCC premises and/or given a direction to promptly rectify the breach (e.g. by apologising to relevant persons). For serious or frequent breaches the Board may take more substantial action, such as suspension from matches (for playing members) or, in extreme cases, expulsion from LCC.
Family members and friends
The Board encourages all LCC members to ensure that their family members and friends adhere to the code of conduct when attending LCC matches, training sessions, social events and LCC or opposition clubrooms, or otherwise using LCC facilities or equipment. Family members or friends who fail to do so may be asked to leave LCC premises and/or be denied future entry.

In most cases, an offending member will receive a warning from the Board, a direction to immediately delete the offending post and (if appropriate) a direction to apologise to an offended person or group. For serious or frequent breaches the Board may take more substantial action, such as suspension from matches or, in extreme cases, expulsion from LCC.
The Board encourages the positive and respectful use of social media, in accordance with the social media policy, as a tool for networking between LCC members.
